In the tradition of Frog and Toad, the five stories that make-up this picture book are wonderful examples of friendship: Tiny (the elephant) tires to ice skate, Hercules (the mouse) paints, the friends open a lemonade stand, Hercules' uncle has a birthday, and the two knit sweaters for each other. Each brief story features a problem that is easily resolved and is depicted only in a picture. When Tiny fails to master skating, we turn the page to see a picture of little Hercules carrying his elephant friend across the ice. The two good friends share trouble, fun, and laughter.
